I understand that not everyone likes having exploits removed, but USLEEP is already a gigantic project as it is, and making a 'exploit-friendly' version is probably way more than what can be reasonably asked of people who are already slaving away for free. There was another - well, not specifically about USLEEP, but a reply thread devolved into some nastiness and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My bad, blame's on me for not making sure there was only one. They deserve better.Īh, there was more than one such topic. I feel it's unwarranted to attack them, but rudeness is all too common.

Can I be blamed for taking the patch makers' side in this situation? They work hard to unravel the tangled mess of bugs that Bethesda games tend to be, and do so for free.

But all too often I see people skip straight to abuse and nastiness without even spending a shred of effort to see if maybe mods that do what they want are available. Moreover, there ARE mods compatible with USLEEP that can 'restore' such 'features', either by undoing the change or by using scripts to do something similar. I'd have a lot more sympathy for most of the people who complain if they didn't, in fact, act like complete asshats and basicallysling curses at the patch makers for trying to help. I'm inclined to agree with that, but blackmail, insults and the like aren't what I'd call 'a civilized way of asking', and are the kind of abuse I've seen hurled at the patch makers more and more often lately.
